The Key to the Universe / Catching Up
My first non-family-vacation, "I love traveling" experience was during my sophomore year of college. I participated in a study abroad program during winter break. It was only 2 weeks in 2 countries (England and The Netherlands), but it got me motivated. So during my senior year of college, I decided to participate in a real study abroad program. I spent a semester in England while visiting other counties (Austria, Italy, Switzerland, and France) during the weekends. Although I experienced many struggles, such as loneliness and my roommate getting deported, I still had the time of my life.
Now, I'm graduated, moved out, and working at a full-time job. Or as many would say, adulting. Adulting enabled me the freedom to visit even more places – Italy again, Japan, Korea, Nicaragua, and the Bahamas. And in a few days, I'll be going to Iceland.
I owe it to the little book in this picture.
Overall, I'm extremely happy with my adventures... But I do have one regret. I regret not starting this blog right after graduation! I wish this could be my "Travels-After-Becoming-An-Adult" sort of blog. I didn't accomplish that and I have no excuses. So within these next few days, before I leave for Iceland, I'm going to make it my mission to catch this blog up!
Wish me luck. On your mark... get set... go!
