NASHVILLE, TENNESSEE – Paramore Went There
After 11 years of loving Paramore, I finally got to see the beautiful place that shaped them and their music!
In the summer of 2018, Paramore announced Art + Friends. It is a music festival where they would perform their last show for a long time. It is also a celebration of the art / music scene in Nashville (their hometown). For fans, this was a wonderful opportunity to not only attend Paramore’s last show, but also explore the places where Paramore had photoshoots, shot music videos, recorded albums, grew up, and more.
3 months later, thousands of people gathered in Nashville to commemorate Paramore’s journey and all that they’ve become! My friends and I also flew in, rented out a red Jeep, reserved an Airbnb, road tripped to sights, and recreated iconic photographs.
Here are some notable sights we went to and photographs we recreated!
RCA Studio B
This is the studio where Paramore recorded their newest album, After Laughter.
Location: 1611 Roy Acuff Pl, Nashville, TN 37203
Brand New Eyes Road
Any Paramore fan would recognize this immediately… IT’S THE BRAND NEW EYES ROAD! “Brand New Eyes” is Paramore’s 3rd album and these are some photos they used to promote it. The actual name of the road is “Old Charlotte Pike.” It is right next to Franklin Christian Academy, the middle school that Zac Farro (current member of Paramore) and Josh Farro (former member of Paramore) went to.
To get here, use the address for Franklin Christian Academy on your GPS, park in the lot closest to the road, and walk the rest of the way for about 5 minutes.
Location: 818 Old Charlotte Pike E, Franklin, TN 37064
Ain’t it Fun Set
This breathtaking location is where Paramore shot the music video for one of their biggest singles, Ain’t it Fun! Unfortunately, this is on private property and the owners asked us not to disclose information about where it is located. Sorry!
Art + Friends Mural
This is the mural that Paramore used to promote Art + Friends. They took a lot of pictures with it and posted them on social media, so we did too!
Note: this mural will most likely be removed in the future.
Location: By Red Door in East Nashville
And there you have it! If you were to ask me, “What would be the perfect way to end a Paramore era before they take a break for a long time?” My answer would be, “To explore their hometown and see them perform one last time at the best show ever with my best parafriends ever!” So yes, this was the perfect send-off. This trip and show wasn’t just about Paramore (the band members) anymore. It was about celebrating all the new places I’ve been to because of them, all the friends I’ve made because of them, and all the times that Paramore’s music has helped me. They truly bring people together and change lives in the strangest of ways. And this trip was the best way to solidify that. Thank you, Paramore for being one of the best things that’s ever happened to me!
